Poetry: Suicidal thoughts

by Joseph Bailey

Created on: September 12, 2009   Last Updated: April 22, 2010

I am at a loss for words,

over everything I've heard.

It's become so absurd,

this life is for the birds.

My heart stopped that day,

with nothing left to say.

So on my knees i pray,

for this life to fade away.

I'll stop this fight, as I take my life tonight.

It feels so right, as I clench this knife.

I hold it in my fist, switching hands to slit my wrists.

Digging deep to hit the vein, as I bleed my pain away.

So how much brake,

should one heart take.

All for loves sake,

for something so fake.

Confined to pain for years,

the luck of a thousand broken mirrors.

Theses eyes shed no tears,

as I'm consumed by all my fears.
