My notebook defines me...
You call it a notebook but I beg to differ,
to me its like my glass slipper.
Its what holds this puzzle together,
Its my motivation to try and do better.
My notebook defines me...
It welcomes you to see,
a different side of me.
On the outside I paint an portrait of anger,
a crazy tattooed mean looking stranger.
A guy who has done a lot of evil stuff,
who's lived a life that's been really rough.
This outside image represents who I used to be,
but my notebook defines me...
One look at me and you think criminal,
you see a savage beast with no soul.
I don't mind if people judge me,
they only judge what they see visually,
My notebook shows me in the right light,
it shows my emotions and the beauty in life.
My notebook defines me...
It's true you should never judge a book by its cover,
On the outside I'm scary on the inside I'm a lover.
You would never know just by looking my way,
that I write poetry and have so much to say.
My notebook defines me...
To you its just paper in another notebook,
for me it's really worth another look.
I've had people think the worst of me,
until words from my notebook let them see.
That image has nothing to do with ability,
and even the meanest guy can have humility.
My notebook defines me...
Don't judge someone on there past or look,
at least until you have read from there book.
Remember not everyone walks the same walk,
and because I look different dose not mean I can't talk.
So don't judge someone you know nothing about,
that's a great way in life to really miss out.
Before you judge me on my look or my age,
peal back my cover and read a page.
because my notebook defines me..

My life is but a notebook, written in my soul
Looking deep inside, to make myself whole
The feelings buried deep

What They Hold Inside
Wandering
Hear ts and minds
Attempting to capture
The elusive moments
The words all
Held inside
Every page
In a notebook I keep inside
very safe and secure with heart strings tied
hidden deep within my soul
I write
Word upon word, sentence upon sentence
Some a little absurd and others about repentance
Some many of them just sitting there
