Most people know Louisville, Kentucky as "The Derby City." But Louisville has another nickname - "Possibility City" - and that name describes Louisville's nightlife scene perfectly. If you're looking for a night of partying, Louisville has you covered. The dance floors are plentiful, the bar scene is hoppin', the food is delicious, and live entertainment abounds. There is something for everyone and the possibilities really are endless.

4th Street LIVE!

Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, between Liberty and Muhammad Ali Streets, this is the place to be if you're wanting to dance the night away. You can dance on the bar at Sully's, enjoy some Rock-n-Roll and a dueling piano show at Howl at the Moon, or get your Irish folk music fix at Ri Ra's. After all that dancing, you might want to head over to Maker's Mark Bourbon House and Lounge and relax in their casual upscale environment. If you could use a good laugh, check out a comedy show at The Improv. With restaurants and shopping, 4th Street LIVE! is a one-stop entertainment district.

Churchill Downs

You can't mention Louisville without mentioning Churchill Downs. The world-famous racetrack, located at 700 Central Avenue, held it first night racing program in July, 2009. Downs After Dark is a can't miss event. If you plan to visit Louisville in the summer, bring your "dress to impress" clothes and enjoy some horse racing beneath The Twin Spires and under the stars.

Jazzy Blu

Located at 815 West Market Street, in the lower level of the Glassworks building, is one of Louisville's best spots for live Jazz. Advertising itself as The Jazz Cafe and Lounge, Jazzy Blu offers a dinner menu, drinks, and live music in an intimate setting.

Jerry Green and Friends Night Club

Voted "Best of Louisville," Jerry Green and Friends Night Club is located at The Breckinridge Inn, 2800 Breckinridge Lane. Featuring a variety of live music from the 60s to the present, vocalist Jerry Green packs the house and entertains a diverse crowd of both young and old.

River Bend Winery

Located at 120 South Tenth Street, between Main and Market, River Bend Winery offers a sophisticated, yet comfortable experience in a renovated historical building dating back to 1880. Enjoy a delicious dinner menu and wine made from Kentucky grapes. Besides wine tasting and tours, River Bend Winery offers a calendar of events to suit everyone. Weekly events include Latin dance nights and comedy shows. A monthly spoken word/poetry open mic is held every
