Love's Loser
Diedre seemed in reach,
When I found her at the beach.
But it didn't go as planned,
'Cause there was too much sand.
> Diedre I need ya!
Barbara was oh so sweet,
When I met her at the meet.
But I failed to score,
When she heard me snore.
> Barbara where are ya?
Fiona was too little,
With a voice rather brittle.
And she had a bit of a fit,
When she saw me cough and spit.
> Fiona come home ya!
Anna was a doozie,
She made my brain quite woozy.
My dreams went up in smoke,
When she offered me a toke.
> Anna, I don't understand ya!
Carla was a shark,
Who liked her men to bark.
She spat I was a cur,
When all I did was purr.
> Carla, mad at me are ya?
Roxanna, ah Roxanna.
Less a girl than a man, ah.
It was a real mind bender
To discover she was trans-gender.
> Roxanna why're you a man, huh?
Pamela so sweet,
Refused to eat meat.
A vegan to the end,
She remained just a friend.
> Pamela, yech! Okra?
And then there was my lovely Karen,
She never talked, just kept starin',
So I took her to a pantomime show,
But she left in a huff saying she had to go.
> Karen, why you stop carin'?
Now finally a girl named La'Orange has come into my life,
And I think I've finally found my future wife!
I really think I've made it home this time,
You see with her name, La'Orange, nothing will rhyme!

Poetry: A lack of love
It feels like I've lost a brother
Said goodbye to the one and only lover I'll ever be blessed to know
And why...
