And Angels weep silently
the morning of the storm;
When compassion loses innocence
and spirituality its soul.
Longer does the full moon cry
with yearning in its light;
And raindrops dance on Autumn's leaves
while ignorance takes control.
Acceptance lost in shadows cold
eclipsed in man's desire;
For however long the sun will shine
redemption hides at night.
And Angels weep bitterly
the evening of despair;
With laughter lost in children's eyes
and humanity no longer dreams of joy.
