Poetry: Pumpkin pie

by Lisa Linthicum

Created on: September 11, 2009

Throughout the fall feast

Various sets of eyes darted around the room

All in search of the dessert of choice

AAAAHHH! - There it was...

Aunt Patsy's Perfect Pumpkin Pie

The crust - flaky and golden

The pumpkin custard -a perfect combination of soft, yet firm

The aromas of fall - cinammon and nutmeg

The beautiful pastry leaves carefully placed along the edges,

Beckoned everyone to take a bite and think of

Their many blessings.
