The computer game I am reviewing is Resistance 2 by Insomniac. They are also responsible for making the classic franchises Ratchet and Clank and Sly Racoon. Luckily for all the Playstation 3 lovers, myself included, it is a Playstation 3 exclusive title. Resistance 2 is an FPS (or a first person shooter for those not in the know). Amazingly it costs around 40 new, which makes it one of the cheapest FPS's on the market. It is available in all good game retailers such as Gamestop, Game and Gameworld.

Resistance 2 carries on right from where Resistance: Fall Of Man left off. The chimaeras have gotten even stronger and have grown in numbers. But, the person you control has gotten a lot stronger too. The aim of the game is to beat the chimaeras once and for all.

Resistance 2 is set in America, not in the United Kingdom like in Resistance Fall Of Man. Also, there are a lot of levels in this game. There are multiple difficulties to provide a wide range of challenges for every player. For the average gamer it should take about 30 to 40 hours to complete. The quality of the graphics is excellent, a real step up from the first game. Also, all the sounds in the game have been upgraded and rerecorded, so it all feels new and exciting. For me, the most challenging aspect of the game was the final boss battle. Intense concentration and great hand-eye co-ordination are the skills you need to beat these devilish bosses! Overall it has a very well told, complex, but an overall enjoyable plot.

I believe this game is a quality product and well worth the money. The graphics are very precise and crystal clear. I think there is a very good variety between the levels. Some are hard, some are easy. It always keeps you guessing! I found Resistance 2 to be quite interactive. I liked the way that the decisions that you make during the game define the type of person you become at the end. I was most impressed by the variety of the tasks and weapons and characters. There are numerous tasks to complete. There are a lot of different stages of the chimaeras that you have to battle against. But best of all, there are a grand total of 16 fully functioning, powerful, god-like guns at your disposal. What struck me about the sound was that it was very clear and it suited the theme of the game very well. I believe the best thing about Resistance 2 is that it is a Playstation 3 exclusive title, much to the delight of all Resistance fans. Finally there is a game to rival other games such as the Halo franchise, which is an Xbox 360 exclusive title. And I thoroughly believe that the Resistance franchise is up to the challenge!

Everyone might, and should, be interested in this hot title. This game uses the relatively new Trophy technology. This means that carrying out certain tasks rewards the player with trophies. The more difficult the task the better the trophy. The trophy range from bronze to silver to gold to platinum. It also has lots of bonuses that can be unlocked as you go through the game. You will enjoy it for its in-depth storyline, its gripping characters and deadly weapons. Through dynamic gameplay, deadly graphics and sound, amazing animation and excellent voice-overs, this game could be the game of the year.
