HOW TO TELL IF SOMEONE IS LYING TO YOU
Everybody in this big world has been lied to in one way or the other we have met a lot of people who has one time lied to us. How do you really know if someone is not telling you the truth? You can't easily know if someone is lying to you but there are some things you can notice if a liar is lying to you.
I will list the few things as numbered below:
1. The way the person looks: when a person is talking to you and does not look at straight to your eyes then you have been lied to. A person who is sincere will look straight in your eyes because he has gotten the confidence and will not look directly in your eyes. Do you know what, the person feels the truth is in the eyes. A skillful liar knows this so he could lie to you and look directly. This logic is not always the best way of knowing if someone is lying to you.
2. The way the person hesitates: if a person hesitates or takes a long time to answer your question then the person might be lying to you. The person hesitates because he is thinking of a smart way of answering your question. The person is also thinking of what he said earlier so that he won't contradict what he will say next then he hesitate before answering you. So, if you are asking questions and he seems to take along time before answering or tries to deviate to another story then be very much assured that you have been lied to.
3. The tone of the person's voice: this is when you are familiar with the person very well. Try to listen to the tone of his voice when you believe he is lying to you. When there a change of tone or pronunciation of words that will show that he is lying. The method involves studying the person very well. Study when he speaks and try to study when you catch him lying to you.
4. When the person is nervous or fidgeting: a person fidgets around with their clothes and scratches their hair nervously when they are lying. They might not to able to compose themselves when they are lying to you. But this logic does not really apply because some people are natural fidgeters. If a person does not fidget when they are talking to you and suddenly changes his moves, be cautious. He might be telling lies and before you know it you are already deceived.
5. Keeping the story straight: if a person is a liar, he might have trouble keeping the story straight when he is talking to you. When someone lies a lot, he will mix up stories and you won't understand what the person is saying. Be inquisitive or ask questions more than once. Try to listen attentively. When you ask a lot of questions and you get different answers on a similar questions then there is a chance you have been lied to.
With these few points, I think it is enough to know if someone is lying to you.
