Questions for my father
When you were hard at work, did you think of me?
When you walked into the bar, did you think of me?
When you drank all of our money, did you think of me?
When you had your affair, did you think of me?
When you fought with my mother, did you think of me?
When you left to start a new life, did you think of me?
When you said you didn't want me, did you think of me?
When my birthday came around, where were you? did you think of me?
As the years passed by and i grew up, did you think of me? did you care?
Alone in your flat, no-one to care, did you think of me?
When you swallowed all of those pills, did you think of me?
As you lay dying on your own, did you think of me?
As your last breath passed your lips, did you think of me?
In your new life, or your after-life, do you remember me? do you ever think of me?
Because i still love you...........
