Poetry: The Earth

by Tina De Lemos

Created on: September 10, 2009

she trembles in fear with a sullen shield over her eyes, why oh why does she cry during the seasons, the day and the night?

she does not remember me, though i remind her from time to time.....she does not look my way no more no way

i love her as though she is a sullen shadow gone to the stars, but she has forgotten that i hid behind the moon

and stole her shadows from the middle of her longing sullenness.....why does she cry like that sorry child with no hand to reach out for in a crowded room? why does she shed tears through oceans of sadness and weary tales of fiery rain and sullen sorrow?

I did not leave you I cried when you left and I always knew you would come back if i waited for you by those bridges that you built for a sullen stranger......why why do you cry?

Oh i forgot.....i died
