How did it come to this?
Me standing here, drenched in my tears
Our life used to be filled with such bliss
Photos of good times for all to see
Now are discarded, packed away in boxes
I don't understand how this came to be
The house is empty, the rooms sit bare
It's been a long time coming
Still, I can't help but care
How did it come to this?
All the angry words that we screamed
Our fate sealed with one last kiss
Walking slowly out the front door
The click of the lock behind me
My emotions lay wreathing on the floor
I am leaving behind our once loving home
The sky's grey and heavy like my heart
For the first time in years I am alone.

by Eliseo Solis
In such confusion
Faced with many intrusions.
I am all for our union
As the world
Just wants me in seclusion.
They cannot
How did it come to this
A life full of cliches and cool detachment?
We will never be like that we said
Laughing gaily and with
When you've made the choices
Been on the chosen road for countless miles
Tired
Battered
Forgotten the last time you smiled
Love!
Is it ever enough or is it just a mind thing?
Searching for it could take millions of years.
Is it true love or is it
