Poetry: Pumpkin pie

by Kevin Lee

Created on: September 10, 2009

I do not like pumpkin pie.

It feels funny on my tongue

I do not know why because I like other pies

But pumpkin pie, is not for I.

I look at a pumpkin and do not see food.

I see a jack 'o lantern with a scary face

with a candle to set the mood.

But pumpkin pie is not for you.

The seeds are alright

if I put a lot of salt on.

Its seeds I like,

but pumpkin pie is not for I.
