Hanging Christmas Apron

This apron is something I learned to do as a child. It is really simple to do and take no time at all. It looks very hard to do but it is not. Anyone can do it. You can use it as two different things. One as a decoration or as a toddler apron to play in. I think it is adorable. It is a must have. I make them and sell them at yard sales and craft shows around my area. Everyone thinks they are so cute. They are a big hit. I make this all the time. If you follow these four simple steps that I have listed below you will see how beautiful it really is. I believe every home should have one or two. Great group activity to do at a daycare or school. Let the children pick out their own supplies. My daughter simply loves it. She wears hers to pretend cook.

You will need: Christmas pot holder, Christmas hand towel (same print as pot holder), Ribbon (to match the potholder and hand towels), Thread, Needle, Scissor

Step one: Fold the hand hamburger style. Now cut on the fold.

Step two: Sew the pot holder and one half of hand towel together. Make sure that you pleat it up so the the whole side of where you cute is sewn to the pot holder.

Step three: Take a piece of ribbon that is 24 inches long and sew it across long ways where you sewed the pieces together.

Step Four: Take another piece of ribbon and sew it to each side of the top of the pot holder, so it makes a loop.

You now have a beautiful holiday decoration to hang. In 4 quick easy steps. Anyone can do it. I enjoy making things and come up with different things all the time. Four simple steps is all it takes. It can be a great gift as well.

If you like this idea you can change it to just your favorite theme such as apples, roosters, or sunflower. The choices are endless. You can make this a great addition to your kitchen. It does not cost much either. Anyone can do this it is easy. It is also a good group activtiy to do with kids. Let them pick out their out pot holders and hand towels. It is a very good way to bring out your styles.
