Let us not forget the day,
when hope, dreams and lives were torn away.
Where bravery overcame fear,
to the ones we love so dear.
A selfless act to save so many others,
to hundreds more of fathers and mothers.
A day that will never be blocked from our minds,
or erased rom the anals of time.
The strength of those that are left behind,
must fight the wrong that was a crime.
Ever vigil and aware we must be,
this could happen again to you and me.
Maybe not this minute, today or tomorrow,
but another time would bring much sorrow.
It may not be planes or bombs again,
but some other horror from within.
Don't complain when asked to submit,
passports, visas, Id's or writs.
Some sacrifices are worth the wait,
so you and I will always be safe.
Remember the day that time stood still,
for those we loved, and always will.

Meshed lips, closed eyes, and fingers that tangle
I’ve missed you too much, and now you’ve come home
