Perspectives on 9/11: The politics of culture, the culture of politics

September 11, 2001 was the day that changed our world forever. We have the images embedded in us on what happened that day and many Americans sought revenge and still seek it for this day. We wanted blood and guts and retribution for their act. Now we have more laws, more restrictions and our freedoms are limited. Speaking the truth can be very dangerous. Speaking for what you believe in can be dangerous. But out of fear, we just went along because we felt it was right. Blood is the answer. Shortly after the attacks we got bombarded with everyone on TV and every politicians speak about terrorism. Meanwhile our psyche was under attack daily for months because we not only had the fear embedded in us with 9/11, but we had the added fear of the media usage of the word terrorism. And there are many people who believe we were justified to attack Afghanastan to find Osama and the Taliban, which we later went into Iraq to fight the next Vietnam war for the US. And there are some who believe in the truth movement. They believe the government and George Bush had something to do with it. The question we have to ask is what is the truth? The Taliban making attacks on others every day makes us think they would do something like that, and the fact that the 9/11 Committee blocked out a good portion of the information that was in it. This makes us think the government is involved in it. The fact is what is the truth? Somebody knew something.

Why was it that some people had dreams about what was going to take place on 9/11, but couldn't explain it until afterwards? There was something that was going on in a subconscious level that effected all of us. The fact is we felt we need to do something and we did, but how many of us actually know what we are fighting for anymore. I could tell you it is not for a righteous cause I can guarentee that. We are fighting for resources from a demand country that needs it. We are trading blood for resources because we are all competing to survive and live in this world. So we send our soldiers to war. It's not just the US, it's every country in the world, it's the UN, it's this generation and the many generations before us. We fight to control resources. And those in power control and dictate how much and who gets what. Meanwhile, we are going at a fast pace that we are deprived from our connection with earth and those attacks happened and it subconciously reminded us who we are as a species. It reminded us and warned us of our future. Many
