Best hairstyles for round face shapes

Don't go hating your overly round face yet! With the right haircut, you can look like a million bucks and never have to worry about yourself thinking you look like a chubster in the face! But first things first, how do you know if your face shape truly is round?

Get out a tape measurer and write down the following measurements. Place it right at your chin, to the top of your cheeks. Then, place it across to your jaw line. Measure across your forehead now right at the start of it, toward the other side. So, now that you have your measurements, a round face shape is about as wide as it is long, there is no in between. So if your face is truly round, your fullness is in your cheeks, less pronounced chins, a wider hairline even, and your neck may appear shorter.

Well now that you think you have a round face shape, lets get started with some great hairstyle tips. A very important thing to nose is never get a bob that hugs your face closely. This will actually give you a bloated face look, accentuating your round face in all the bad ways. What you do need is a longer length bob if you're going for that look, and something that adds body and definitely away from your face. The best kind of short bob would be one where the hair flips away from your face and towards the other direction.

If you want long hair, keep it at a longish to medium length, add some layers to the front, which really helps any face shape, and certainly add some bangs or a side sweep. The shagged down layers and the bangs give your face a slender look and can even give your neck the vision of looking longer. You can also create yourself a modernized version of the Farrah Fawcett. Since it flips out, it'll make your face definitely not as round looking and with the swishy bang, it'll draw people's attention to what accentuates your face.

If you're looking for a short do, try out a pixie cut or a shorter style that will give you height. Again, it needs to be cut super short, or if not, try to get the attention away from your face so have the cut at different angles and flip out a bit. There are many other styles that will work for you and your face. Just take advantage of not accentuating your fuller features, it'll definitely help and make you feel much more confident.
