It is not surprising that many people consider this Ram Setu as a myth. Hinduism has a certain mystical charm to its mythologies. Many people find it hard to believe that ramayan actually happened on this very planet. But the fact is that it did & so did the Ram Setu. It is very much a reality. It was the bridge that King Ram made to reach Lanka to save his queen sita from the demon Ravana. Now this incident happened many thousands of years ago. It is hard for us to imagine what skills were available at that time in history. when we can be so advanced in our science & technology now, then why can't we accept the possibility that maybe they had many more skills. See, Hinduism is a very ancient religion, it was there long before the time we have any knowledge about. But as we say history always leaves its mark. so maybe those rocks still stand there to remind us of Ram's victory over Ravana, the victory of good over evil.

We can't just dissolve this issue by calling it a myth & saying that no such thing ever happened. The most important thing is the location of the Ram Setu in itself is reason enough to believe in it. From Rameshwaram to Lanka is what the scriptures say and that's what is the location of the Ram setu found by NASA in its pictures from outer space. The story of Ramayana is not just a hindu scripture its our own history. The Ram Setu is a live example of something that happened many thousands of years ago. It is our heritage.

There is a simple thing I'd like to share with you. Today we have reached the outer space, we're flying in the skies, we have so many technological advancements, but thousands of years later, maybe after a big catastrophe in which all the knowledge is lost, can anyone believe that the world we live in ever existed? It's really very simple, after thousands of years we can never be sure of what really happened but we certainly can't rubbish it by calling it a myth. The most important thing is that we have our scriptures certifying this fact that Ram Setu was indeed made by Sri Ram to save Sita. In fact, it is actually also a vice versa condition where the existence of the Ram Setu also says that all the facts in Ramayana are very much true. It's our valuable treasure, our history.
