Searching for truth in the Bible

The Lord Jesus Christ declared much about truth. He said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me! In John 8:32 He declared And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free!

1 John 3: 18-19 states My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth, and by this we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before Him.

The Bible declares the Word of God. The Bible is truth, and by knowing its truth Christ followers are set free by the dominion of sin. The truth of the Gospel empowers us to live lives of victory. Because of the truth of the Gospel we find that we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 8:37 says Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

The Apostle Paul confidently declared in Romans 1: 16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. Amen brother Paul, Amen, I agree with the truth of your statement. I praise God for the Gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation. I know because I myself personally have seen lives changed by the power and the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I allow the wind mills of my mind to turn and meditate on the Gospel, its truth and power to change lives, many stories and many memories flash into my mind. There are so many examples I could share with you to demonstrate the power and truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I think I will limit myself on this occasion to the following two examples:

There once was a little boy who grew up in a dysfunctional alcoholic home. This little boy was often told by his alcoholic Father that he would never amount to anything. He was called a loser, stupid, good for nothing. The young boy grew up with very low self esteem. He had very few friends, and felt he had nothing to offer. One summer the young boy was invited to attend a Salvation Army Camp for needy children. At that camp he heard about a friend that loved him and would always be with him. He learned about a man called Jesus, that had died for him and wanted to be his friend for ever. At that camp the young boy wanted to know this Friend. He risked trusting in Jesus Christ. He decided to turn his life over to Christ. I know that story because I am that boy. Fifty years ago last month I turned my life over to Jesus Christ at The Salvation
