Our Yummy Potato Salad Recipe

This recipe is a family favorite around my house. I love making this potato salad and we don't just enjoy this salad in the summer only. We love to have it anytime of the year. It makes a wonderful side dish for any meal. And it's great for any party so let's get started!

Ingredients

5 lbs bag of Potatoes
1 cup Mayo
1 med Onion diced

2 or 3 Celery stalk
1 Cup of diced ham
1 Cup of diced or shredded cheese
2 boiled egged chopped
Spices: I use about 1 teaspoon of each Garlic powder, Paprika. Onion powder,Salt, Pepper

Step one

Peel and dice your potatoes and put on to boil and when cooked put in a strainer and run cold water over them. Then let sit for about 30 mins to cool.

Step two

While the potatoes are cooling you can dice your ham, cheese, onion,egg, celery. Put aside when done.

Step Three

Get your cooled potatoes put in a large salad bowl. Then add your cheese,ham, onion,celery,egg, and your spices

Step Four

Once you have everything in the bowl then add your Mayo. I start with a few tablespoons at a time. It makes it easier to mix it all together nicely. I make sure that all the potato mixture is covered.

Step Five

Once everything is mixed and nicely covered with the Mayo sprinkle some Paprika over the top to give it some color. Put in the fridge for about an hour and then serve. Enjoy

Tips

Sometimes I like to add green pepper, Tomatoes (the small one slice), Carrots shredded, and you can add some cooked frozen peas not from the can. The ones from the can are too soft to use.
You can add other spices I prefer the ones I put in my recipes but the sky is the limit. Make it to your taste.
I also like to use Kraft Miracle Whip. It give the salad a really nice zing!
