When you' ve fallen in love with a married man, you are not in a safe relationship. You are in danger of being discovered, seen with he who is already taken. This is not healthy for you and not for your relationship either.

There are some things that you should know before embarking on a such a relationship with a married man:

1) You will always be the second one. No matter what, you are not the first, and you should keep that in mind.

2) He has marital obligations. Children are his primary concern as well as his wife. So, spending holidays, weekends or summer vacations together would be extremely difficult or impossible.

3) If he stumbles upon you in the street, be prepared to be ignored. He may be with his wife and then walk away as if you never met before. This is certainly a blow to your self-esteem.

4) Prepare to be left alone and disappointed almost always because married life is difficult and complex. You never know what can happen, and he may not show up at your meeting place.

5) You should also know that you will be torn between guilt and remorse. You should know that you are with a married man who has a family life and some kind of organization in his life. In this organization scheme you are not at an advantage.

6) You'll be exposed to lies, apologies and excuses when he does not show up.

7) Don't delude yourself that he will leave his wife. It rarely happens, especially if children are involved.

8) Put yourself in the wife's shoes. Imagine yourself in her place, and think how you would feel in a situation like this. Not so appealing any more, is it?

9) Whenever you are stood up, this is a huge blow to your confidence.

10) Phone calls to his home are out of the question, especially if he did not come, and you want an explanation.

A relationship with a married man is also very difficult because mistresses are not liked wherever you go. Be prepared for a lot of gossiping and talking behind your back. Even some of your friends will not support your choice of love. It is important to know that people have feelings. If the wife in question finds out about you, you will be exposed to rude behavior on her part. She will feel hurt and endangered, so she will do whatever it takes to save her marriage. This means that she will try to destroy you emotionally.

All things considered, there is almost nothing beautiful in your loving a married man. Apart from those very few moments you will be together, everything else will be filled with his delays and excuses. And you deserve so much more. You deserve a complete and full life not a piece of it.
