Creepy Crawly Spider
People don't like me 'cause I'm crawly and creepy.
So, needless to say, I'm quite sad and weepy.
It's not my fault I was born kind of scuzzy.
I sure do wish I looked warm and fuzzy.
I know I'm not beautiful. I look a fright.
There are things about me that just don't look right.
Like I have too many legs, eight in all.
I can walk on the ceiling and not even fall!
I'd love to be just a regular kid,
And not a hairy scary leggy arachnid.
I'd like a family. I'd love some friends too.
I'd like to be your friend. How about you?
Would you be friends with me? I know
We're very different but you would see
All the fun new games we could learn and share
We could do tons of things and always play fair.
Other kids will see what good friends we make.
Maybe they'll see someone and decide to take
A chance on them, like I did with you.
And they will be lucky with a new friend too!
I sure hope that you will be my friend.
