I was there, I was always there.
When you needed a shoulder to cry on or a friend,
I was always there.
When life kicked you in the shins,
I was always there.
To lift you up when you were feeling down,
When you had no friends and no one was around.
I was always there to soothe the open wounds.
There was no one else there but you and me in the room.
I was always there to take up the slack.
So now I wonder...do you ever give back?
