Watching the actor Steve Buscemi in anything is without a doubt entertaining but there have been some truly stand out roles for him as well. Take for example his role in Lonesome Dove, the western starring Tommy Lee Jones as Woodrow F. Call and Robert Duvall as Augustus McCrae. He has a tiny little role in this movie but it is definitely a most memorable one. If you've seen this movie, you just cannot forget the quirky Luke who tries to marry Ellie knowing that his partner the large and simple minded Big Sway fancies her. I'll never forget his line when he and Big Sway bring Ellie to the jail to see her true husband Dee Boone. When Dee tells Ellie he is going to be hung for killing a boy, Buscemi's Luke doesn't miss a beat with his comeback of 'What'd he do? Aggravate ya?' Classic Buscemi , he has got a priceless and laughably disturbing humor in is acting but that is what Steve Buscemi is all about.

As Mr. Pink in the Quentin Tarrantino flick Reservoir Dogs again not a huge role but quite memorable. It starts out with a bunch of criminals having breakfast in a diner, when it comes to tipping the waitress Buscemi's character Mr. Pink refuses, stating basically that he doesn't tip because he is expected to and he isn't about to play by the rules, of course the actual statement is peppered with a few choice words which is to be expected in any film of Tarrantino's. Let's face it, criminals swear a lot. What is ironic about this role though is that he goes on to make a cameo appearance as what else, a waiter, in Tarrantino's next film Pulp Fiction

Another great role is that of Carl Showalter who is the jumpy and talkative hired kidnapper for Jerry Lundergard played by William H. Macy. His character in this movie is not the brightest bulb on the tree and seems to irritate his partner in crime played by Peter Stormare. Buscemi doesn't get to enjoy the fruits of his labors, however, because he talks his way right into the wood chipper.

The last roles that I can think of where Steve Buscemi has really entertained is in the Wedding Singer and Mr. Deeds alongside Adam Sandler. I truly think that Buscemi shows his comedic side to the hilt and proves without a doubt that he can go from crazy cannibal on a airplane full of convicts who plays with Barbie dolls and eerily sings with little girls, to reigning in the laughs as the loveable but corny wedding singer and his truly memorable musical version of the tune True. Buscemi certainly can act and act well clearly in any role he is given. He is by far one of the most talented actors on the screen today.
