I lace up my cleats,
And listen to the muted pre-game chatter in the stands.
My heart pounds with anticipation,
My stomach flutters with nervousness,
And I clench my teeth with determination.

Performing their individual pre-game rituals.

I run past the stands to the vast field,
And the cheers turn into a roar.
I know in my heart,
I know in my mind,
I'm ready to win the big game.
