Usually selfish and irresponsible people are the ones that have sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and not disclose it to their sexual partners. To answer the first question on why you need to disclose to your sexual partners that you have an STD is that you are a responsible person. If you do not, you have proven yourself to be really irresponsible. To add that, you would be what most people consider as "scum." Usually scum and other degenerates are that selfish enough not to disclose to their sexual partners that they have some sort of STD.
There are more reasons than that one to tell your need to disclose your status of having an STD to your sexual partners. It is not just a matter of responsibility; it is also a matter of safety, prevention, and preparation.
Reason One:
The main way to get an STD is via sexual intercourse. However, it is not limited to vaginal intercourse. There is oral intercourse and anal intercourse as well. There is no need to go into the specific details in those regards. Through sexual intercourse, bodily fluids excreted through sexual pleasure are exchanged. Those fluids can get infected for all we know.
You may not know who you contracted the STD from. Regardless of not knowing who or when, it is your responsibility to let your respective sexual partners know. If you do not tell your partners about your status, then they have no way of knowing whether or not they are infected. Keep in mind that you probably are not the only person your partners are having sex with. Without letting them know, you have let off a devastating chain reaction.
For those that are infected, they will be having sex with their other partners. In turn, they end up infecting them. It is a detrimental domino effect and so forth.
Reason Two:
There are numerous types of STDs in existence. Many of the current STDs end up mutating into something else in which current medicines cannot treat them. A lot of the STDs can make a person's life very painful. Also, there are certain STDs that are extremely fatal. The fatal STDs are fatal if they are not treated. They cannot treat it unless they know about it. There is no single method that can treat all STDs. Certain STDs need certain treatments and medications. There is no way of treating it if they have no idea on what type of STD that they have. The list of STDs in existence is quite long.
By not disclosing to your partners about having an STD, you have in turn ruined the lives of many people.
