There is under no circumstances any reason a person who is gay should lead a church. Think about it would you let a man who is being unfaithful to his wife lead the flock? No you wouldn't, unless you want to be led astray. There are biblical requirements for pastoring. One you have to have the respect of your family, and what family could give you full respect without ignoring the fact that you are committing sexual immorality. If you're looking for insight as to what sexual immorality is read the story of Lot in Genesis. That should make it crystal clear. They didn't name it sodomy after a pure thing.

What kind of example could a gay possibly set for your children? They would not be able to set an example of how to act towards the opposite sex since they do not have those feelings. I certainly wouldn't want them around my alter boys. Sin is sin people and if you call a priest on it and they don't change their ways and repent, the bible is pretty clear about that too. Read Mark 5 verse 30,or Mathew18 verse 8. These verses refer to people in the church who refuse to live a Godly life. It is better to get them out of the church than to let them lead others astray.

If a priest were gay that would also make them sexually active which is also not allowed to priests. So not only are you gay but your breaking your vow of abstinence. I feel it is not the thoughts that makes people gay but the action. First Timothy verse two states " The overseer then must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, self controlled, respectable, hospitable, an able teacher". Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Paul said The husband of one WIFE not husband of one husband.

People can go ahead and alter their beliefs all they want to suit them; they are only further proving the validity of our holy scriptures. It is also predicted in the bible that things will only get worse not better before Christ's return. We will all be judged by our actions, Remember hate the sin not the sinner. These sinners are still loved by Christ and so should we love and pray for them and their souls."Let he who is without sin cast the first stone".
