Atlanta is filled with wonderful, romantic restaurants, but there are a few that go above and beyond for that perfect atmosphere, excellent food quality, and those little extra touches that create a romantic setting. The following restaurants are all ideal for that first date or a fifty year wedding anniversary and everything in between. These restaurants are special because they go the extra mile to provide excellent service, delicious and unique food choices, and a relaxing environment. At these locations, you can sit back and enjoy a worry-free dining experience that you and your date will remember for years to come.
1. The 57th Fighter Group Restaurant - 3829 Clairmont Rd (770-234-0057)
The best way to describe this restaurant is "WOW!". The 57th is more than just a restaurant. It's like a trip back in time to a WWII NCO Club. As you pull into the restaurant driveway, you will see all types of WWII vehicles leading up to the front of the restaurant and more displayed around the front and sides of the property. Inside the restaurant, you will see pictures, posters, and other WWII memorabelia throughout. The 57th is also situated next to the Dekalb-Peachtree Airport which means that you can watch the smaller planes take off and land just outside the dining room windows. (Don't worry, you won't hear much noise, if any, from the planes.) You can check the restaurant website at www.the57threstaurant.com for a calendar of live music and special events. This restaurant has a full service bar, a dance floor, and private rooms for special functions. The wait staff is highly trained and will go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable and carefree. As for the food, you aren't likely to find better at any restaurant in Georgia. Their lunch entrees are very affordably priced around $10 each and the dinner entrees are currently $14 - $24. They serve a variety of steaks, seafood, chicken, soups, salads, and appetizers. I highly recommend their Sunday morning Champagne Brunch that is served from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. It is currently priced at just $26.95 per person including champagne and non-alcoholic beverages. You will find a waffle station, omelets cooked to order, multiple meat carving stations, a variety of cheeses, fruits and pastries, beautiful displays of salads and pastas, a wide variety of beef, pork, chicken, and seafood
