Poetry: Intimate

OUR WORLD

Want to feel your arms around me as I fall asleep on your tanned chest.

Want to wake up to you kissing my back. The softness of your moves as you desire to discover every inch of my body, afraid to miss a single piece.

Touching my skin, softly, scared to hurt me, afraid that if you touch too hard you might burn.

Kissing my lips tenderly as you look into my eyes. Without words they state all your love for me.

Patiently exploring as if we were stepping on unknown ground, at the same time every step so familiar.

Your fingertips are searching for my breast; I shiver, as we enter into the world of you and me.

My body rises towards yours we are one, our breaths are synchronized, our movements in rhythm.

Your breath is deep; our eyes looked together, as I slowly let my fingers run down your back. Is that your heartbeat or is it mine? Everything else disappears as we enter into the world of you and me.

We're letting our bodies do the talk, composing a symphony, in which we are barely a single note without control of the rhythm of the music.

No yesterday, no tomorrow just here and now as we are in the world of you and me.

The world outside disappears as your lips comes closer, touches mine without kissing, I feel your breath as it turns into mine. It's overwhelming; I am flying, taking me to the planet of us, a hideaway, our place, our world.

Your arms are strong as they hold me, turn me and take me to places I thought I would never visit. I drown in your eyes as your body saves me from the deep waters.

No future - too much past.

We're in the world of us.

Your soul is mine, mine is yours, without our permission they have joined together in this world where only the two of us exist.

Breathing in, dawn is coming the outside is knocking on the door. The knock is too hard, the sun is too bright. Desperately want to stay here for a while longer - stay in the safety of your arms, just a little bit longer.

Silently I ask the knock to go away, you open your mouth to speak I tell you not to.

I already know the words by heart and when you speak them out loud they cut through my soul like a knife.

Still, I smile, as you get ready to face your world. The smile doesn't reach my eyes.

You turn and your eyes meet mine, no words are spoken as you disappear on a rainy street.

Nothing more to say - it hurts to smile.

I lived - I loved - I still love

    Intimate,
