xxxxTREME MAKEOVER
These lines are for a dear friend who is now thirty nine
He is mighty concerned because of his declining hairline
I said to him , please do not fear
Aunt Agony , thats me, will make all your uncertainties disappear
Hey! you will always live like a king
And till the end you will frolic and sing
Of course women will give you a second glance
In life there is always more than just one chance
You will not die such a brokenhearted death
When the girls see you they will stop to regain breath
One on your left and the other on your right
Your painful nights will fill up with daylight
And because I am so wise
Let me dish out some advice
You are going thru a period that's a plateau
No highs ,no lows, so why don't you get yourself a well placed tattoo
How about piercing your ears and a complete head shave ?
Did you know , there are some women, bald men they crave ?
Get yourself a pair of shades thats really cool
And wear a t-shirt that spells "I rule"
Give yourself this totally new look
From a goody goody guy into a crooked crook
I know my recommendations sound quite unnerving and bold
But at the end, the rest will be brass and you will stand out as gold
Also some smooth dancing why don't you try
Don't bypass my suggestions they might just fly
Just trying to give you some well tested and helpful tips
However I suggest no cart-wheel , please spare those hips
If your hips are intact and for that I pray
Then you have nothing to fear from june thru may !

Poetry: Turning forty
by Francis Jock
Forty is a harbor to find,
Where youth yields its carefree ways to time.
Stroll slowly down that gentle path,
Find shelter
Once so very far away
I never thought I’d see the day
When turning 40 was so near
And time is suddenly oh so dear
by Gary Maclean
TURNING FORTY
Turning 40?
What do you mean?
Been there done that.
And in between
Turning forty ain't nothing
You're hardly half
by Sid de Knees
I look like my dad..
I tend to move quite slowly now,
and find aches when I do,
I find that stairs are murderous,
and toe nails
Feeling sad cause you're turning 40?
I'm twice that now and feel young and sporty.
I walk two miles most every day.
I do chores,
