The "must" factor in being born again

I would usually start this article with the words, "It is my opinion that...." But the answer to the topic addressed is not of opinion, but of fact. It is Jesus's intention that every soul be born again, leading to eternal life with himself. Unfortunately, numerous citizens misunderstand and misinterpret the Word of God, leading to false beliefs of salvation.

There is MOST DEFINTITELY a MUST factor in being born again. And this must factor is actually what makes the difference between eternal life and eternal damnation for one's soul.

In the third chapter of the book of John in the KING JAMES edition of the Bible, verse number five reads: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

First off, there are two areas in which one should be born again. Those areas are of water as well as the Spirit. Now beginning with the water. Baptism represents one's spiritual birth, also known as "the second birth." Baptism is the only way that a man can be born again of water. Romans 6:4, of the Bible described above states: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. The meaning of this particular scripture is that after being baptized, one should rise anew, spiritually. Because Baptism is for the sole purpose of washing away sins.

To confirm this, you may look at Acts 2:38 of the previously mentioned Bible, which writes: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the REMISSION OF SINS, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. This scripture explains in "plain English" the significance of baptism. It is for the remission of sins. Dictionary.com explains that the defintion of remission is "pardon; forgiveness, as of sins or offenses." So as in Romans, one can bury their sins in the water, then rise up and walk in newness of life.

Now to the Spirit. Please note that the s at the beginning of the word Spirit is capitalized. Thus indicating that we are not discussing an ordinary spirit, but the spirit of Jesus, which is the Holy Ghost. In order to be born again of the spirit, one must follow the steps necessary to receive, NOT CATCH, the infilling of the Holy Ghost. The details in which are too long to include in this article, but I will hopefully speak with you on it at a later date.
