Organizing a kitchen can be rather tricky no matter what size it is. When the kitchen is small it can feel as if it's nearly impossible when the kitchen is smaller than you'd like. A small kitchen can make you feel as if there is never enough room for anything no matter how many times you get rid of something you've decided that you don't need anymore. There are somethings that you can do in order to organize your kitchen without holding a yard sell.
When you organize your kitchen you'll find that you save money because you won't keep buying things you already had just because you can't find them. Once you get the kitchen organized you may just find that you have quite a few spatula's, tongs and other items that you don't actually use that often but like to have. When you find all the duplicates you may just have enough to keep extra somewhere and hold a yard sale. Getting rid of the things that you don't use will help to prevent you from feeling as stressed out.
The kitchen drawers are usually the most cluttered in the house. Putting in a silverware tray and using some small plastic organizing trays will give you the option of separating everything into categories. You can have all of your spoons, forks and knives separated into dividers where you can find them easily. Then there are the things that you use in the kitchen on a daily basis and want to find quickly. These are the things you want to grab without having to search.
Attaching hooks to the walls can give you a place to hang these items. There is usually a clear wall even in the smallest kitchen. They make hooks that don't require nails and are easily found in the hardware department of most stores. These hooks are attached with an adhesive strip that doesn't leave holes, some of them even attach to the refrigerator.
Magnetic clips can help you to organize the front of the refrigerator to attach notes. Attaching a plastic storage container will give you somewhere to put pens and paper for grocery lists. It's a good way to stay organized for the next trip to the grocery store and to keep these things off the kitchen table. That is if you've got room for a kitchen table.
The cabinets in the kitchen should be used to there full capabilities to ensure that you can manage to fit everything in it no matter how small it is. Arranging the plates and bowls by size in separate stacks will make it easier to get them in and out of the cabinets. What about your cook wear? There are pots and pans to take into consideration as well. If you don't have that many of them you can place them on the stove top when you wash them. Most stoves have a storage space under them that can be utilized to store those baking pans that seem to get lost with ease.
When it comes to the small kitchen organizing starts with getting rid of duplicates and making the most of the space that you have. It's not the end of the world if you have to go without some of the latest appliances to make the best use of your kitchen, once you get the clutter out of it you'll find that you'll more relaxed in the kitchen than you were before.
