There are so many things telling us to lose weight, the media, the government, even our family and friends that you'd think we'd be a slim nation. We are not and the reason for this is stubbornness, we see all these things trying to change us and we decide that it is too much work and that we are happy staying as we are.
This needn't be the reasons that you should get down to a size zero because that, in some cases, can be just as unhealthy as being over weight. Just a few little improvements to you life can make you feel and look amazing.
Find your idea weight
This can be done using many online calculators, a quick search for "idea weight calculator" will return loads of results. It is calculated by your height and age, some get more complicated and take current weight, BMI and frame size into it. My idea weight should be between 140 and 160lbs (That's 10 stone and 11 stone 4lbs to those of you that work in those measurements.) I am 5 foot 7 inches tall (67 inches / 171cm) and I am 20 years old with a medium - large build. Suffice to say I weigh a lot more than that but I want to get there. I've determined that around 11 stone will make me a UK size 12. I'm happy with that!
The reason I know that I am happy with that is because I've lost just over a stone so far and I feel amazing, I can move more, jump around, fit into smaller clothes and I look great. When I get down to that goat weight I'm going to look and feel brilliant. So you can see that you don't necessarily need to be stick thin to look good. You don't need to be nine stone, fine a healthy weight range and get there; it's a lot less daunting.
Body Image
If you are human then it is likely you worry about how you look. Women especially, always thinking they are fat and looking bad in an outfit. Generally if you worry that much then you don't look bad, it's the women who shove anything on and really don't care with no self respect that look bad. If you lose weight, even a stone you are going to lose a bulge here and there, your stomach might get smaller or it might be your bum, it depends where you hold the most fat. Just that little difference and maybe a month or two of dieting and exercising and you can look better!
Health
They say that people that carry a lot of weight around their stomachs are most susceptible to heart disease. This is scary; to think that just because you aren't eating nice, healthy food and moving around a bit that you could get quite ill. All you have to do is make a few changes
