Addicted to the Internet

No one can deny that the internet is a miraculous discovery of human being. And as it is used for daily life such as online purchases, email, work and so forth there are more and more people are depend on the internet. Children are not an exception. They spend lots of time on the internet, they use the internet more than interact with friends and they become cyber citizens.

Children in community where I live play online games such as war craft, half life ... two or three days continuously and overnight; their meals are just snacks or spun. Many of them are students. Put differently, these students are inattentive their studies instead of investing more time in cyber games. Other kids who do not take part in games devote no less amount of time in chatting and gossiping with friends or people that they even never meet them in life. These kids wander from this chat room to another one talking about what seem endless or nonsense.

Nowadays, children can glue their eyes on screen more than time that they flock together with their friends. Kids grab computer as they wake up and do not leave until they are on bed. They linger to get off the computer as somebody calling for hangout, playing tennis or other sportive activities; they are forced to go away from keyboard only when parents shout out. Instead of real soccer matches with friends, picnic with someone or gathering with family on the bright day on a park, children stay fixed with their toy sticks and consoles for a virtual football event in FIFA game. At recent, there are many surveys conducted on children showing that sedentary activities have become popular more than ever before. Thanks to the development of technology, TV and entertainment are available through the internet leading it, the internet, to be the first choice for pastime.

The addiction to the internet would drive many children turn into cyber citizens. The virtual life becomes "real life" ("real life in virtual world") because they can eat, can sleep together with the internet. Their "real lives" are logged via blog in which all actual activities are posted from a dinner, a quarrel to studies and so on. Famous bloggers are typical for this kind of citizens, remind that many of them are teenagers. In addition, making friend according to traditional ways is not popular most today but online-mates. Furthermore, the way of communication in era of the internet has also changed. Numerous words have been "invented" since the advent of the internet and most of them are not used in reality.

In short, even though, the internet brings to children chances to obtain convenient and comfort education as well as huge information the addiction to the internet is potential danger that parents should be aware of. By eliminating adverse side of using internet, children could truly get benefited and safe.
