Tips on teaching your teen girl to shave

This is how I taught my preteen to shave. The best way is to demonstrate. I know it sounds a bit silly but, my teen knows I am always coming up with the zaniest ideas. First, I put on my shorts and walk like a super model to the tub and throw my legs in. You always can keep their attention when you can get their laughter. I tell her the importance of wetting the legs first before applying shaving cream. Always note why this is. I always say if you start with dry legs you'll look like the plague of measles came upon you. Now, how nice is that going to look in your gym shorts? By asking questions I know she that is listening step by step even if she's chuckling. Also, I am not wasting my time.

Now on with the lesson. You shave up slowly. Now if you are going to rush the outcome will look like Freddy Kruger did it for you. Not the best way to go. Rinsing the blades is important to keep a close shave. We do not want crammed up hairs blocking the path to an even shave. Let's face it some of us women and teens are very hairy. That's why we thank the lord for these razors. I always suggest preaching about the smell of nair hair removal as an alternative if they can not get this right. One smell and a teen will not like that choice. It smelsl like rotten eggs. She'll be able to shave like a pro then. We all know how finicky preteens can be.

Rinse the legs thoroughly and pat dry. It's always good to teach them to lotion them afterwards to keep the skin healthy and more enjoyable. If any accidents which we know can happen have bandaids close by. No sheets needed. She hasn't came from a war. The preteens will not die from a nick. No reason to panic, mothers. However, if they need the whole box then never let them shave again. They will just be part French and move to Paris!

It's hard to see our babies growing up. At times it's exciting to be there for each new step closer to adulthood. I will tell you the dad is going to be shocked a year later after she's been shaving. He'll say WHAT, she's shaving already! They never seem to have a clue! I just noted that as a warning.
