Poetry: My dad

by Zane Grogan

Created on: September 03, 2009

As the water cascaded down the falls, I began to cry.

My dad pulled a tissue out and wiped my teary eye.

He asked what was wrong with me.

The pain inside, he couldn't see.

A single tear, like a drop of rain.

Falling fast, like a crashing plane.

In the midst of despair, I call to the stars.

Awoken to the sound, of a man from a far.

On an Angel's wings, I flew that night.

My dad beside me, with Heaven in sight.

He taught me about the grand scheme.

My dad, my friend, my one true dream.
