Poetry: Mother Nature

by Sid de Knees

Created on: September 02, 2009

Autumn's back.

Swooping Swifts and sweeping Swallows,
larking Larks and grouping Geese.
Summer's slipping, autumn follows,
find your sweater, cotton fleece.

Chilling breezes shaking branches,
eco-systems hibernating,
bedding down and taking chances,
stopping frosts from permeating.

Muses speaking, nature calling,
colours sparkle magic landscapes,
moonlit nighttimes moonbeams sprawling
thus contorting harmless shapes.

If all was same all year around,
we'd soon be bored and pine for ground.
