Dancing.
From your dream,
I remember you seemed,
happy and blissful,
though lost we were.
Dancing under stars.
Not in a crowded bar.
Held together rather than,
grinding to feather.
Soon we danced.
On a field of glass.
sprinklers fired,
over our shoulders.
Wooden shoes tapped away.
White as rain purer than the clouds.
Sealing what we held within our vows.
Walking through an Arabian market.
you pulled me close and we danced.
Laughing as I asked for music
from the man selling kibbeh.
Close together we spin,
rain falls down on our heads.
Pendleton sends a barrage,
to shell down past our heads.
Chaperones to our child's prom.
We felt young to dance along.
Seeing our sweetheart swing
as she's held tight by her king.
Spinning our grandchildren,
as we groove and boog.
Listening to little laughs,
remembering out past.
Our time came to soon.
as we look to a new life.
Our final dance through
the pearly gate.
Seeing you pretty in white,
hearing tapping of wooden delight.
Stars shined above.
Lost we were, no more.

Poetry: Dancing
Dance
It was only a seaside cafe,
My soul a tendril reaching out
Eagerly cleaving to the silhouette,
Standing on a table near
A Balinese Dancer
Exotic and alluring,
Each movement casts its spell,
Evoking myths and legends,
Such dramas she can tell.
Swaying
DOES HE LIKE TO DANCE
Quiet moments are elusive
Fear born of loneliness is obtrusive
In our fast paced world
by Scott Scherr
Pirouette on Carousel
I penetrate the mist; what's there?
A heart with dreams immune to cares.
Behold such grace of life
On high tip toes
She stretches her leg in the air
The audience is silent
As they mesmerizingly stare
With a twist of the wrist
