Mafia Wars is an application created by Zynga for both Facebook and MySpace platforms. And Facebook Mafia Wars is fast becoming the most popular social networking game played by over 5 million users daily. To become a successful Mafia Wars player, you need to level up fast while building your defense and increasing your profit. Once you've reached 100+ level, you start expanding your Mafia family and continuously build stronger defense.

MONEY MAKING
If you are just starting out, you need to do some jobs to earn money. Do the jobs that will earn the most money or energy so you can level quickly. If you can do jobs simultaneously, that would be better. You can also try robbing other Mafia to make money but only until you can buy property that will give you profits. Always use the bank to protect your money until such time you have acquired expensive properties. Once you have purchased several profit making properties, you can forget about the bank with ridiculous interest. Join the hitlist with large ransom only, if you get lucky you can end up killing the big guy. You can volunteer to help others do some jobs it takes no energy and you earn money.

PROPERTIES
Always buy a Mafia Mike's whenever you can because the profit potential is huge compare to other properties. If at all possible, buy more than one of a property at a time so you can save money because the cost to buy the next one goes up from the initial base price. So be patient and keep saving your money.

LEVEL UP
Set yourself up to Maniac in order to level up quickly as it regenerates energy faster which can get the job done faster with less effort.
When you're few points away from the next level, use your energy doing jobs with highest experience payoff because it will carry over and will help you level up faster. Getting out of the low level quickly is very important as it keeps you away from being the robbery target of the stronger groups (at least get to 100+ level quickly).

DEFENSE AND STAMINA
No matter how kind you are in Mafia Wars, you will be attacked and robbed. And if it happened that someone attacked or robbed you, let it go and don't retaliate unless it is absolutely necessary especially if you are just starting to build your empire. Avoid putting someone in the hitlist or else, you will most likely be robbed or attacked frequently. Don't use up too much of your profile points into defense. Always outfit your entire family with the best weapon, armor, and vehicle of highest attack ratings. Build
