The dreaded orange hair. Almost everyone who is a hair coloring enthusiast has horror stories about trying to bleach all or certain areas of their hair, and they end up with the ghastly clown color of orange. Myself included, but I learned it the hard of way of keep re dying and re dying, making it even more less strong, brittle, and basically a haystack. There are much simpler ways to deal with this, even when you are in such a shock and start to freak out about your not so wanted bright hair color. Here's some ideas that may work out for you.
Dye it over again -
Now this is what I did and it may not be the best method, since it takes up time and money. But I did it the hard way by using the desired color I wanted over and over, making my hair so coarse and dry by the time I was done, which was over about 2 weeks in time. Do not do that! There is a better way which I learned a bit later, unfortunately. if you have no other way around it, you should definitely use an ash blonde color, probably the lightest ash blonde you can find, so it'd remove that rusty tone out faster. If it doesn't work out the first time, the second time is a charm! After its free of all the not needed red tones, dunk on the color you wanted to use in the first place.
Hair color remover -
Yes, did you actually know you could buy hair color remover? Its very cheap too, at about 2 to three dollars and at most local drugstores. Of course you can also buy it online, to save yourself the embarrassment of actually going outside with your carrot hair. Just dab this into your hair and let it sit, just like at home color and it should fade away the orange to either platinum, yellow, or a lighter faded orange. These colors are probably definitely not what you had in mind, and its not exactly a miracle worker, but just using it over your brightly colored hair does tone it down enough to put on the desired blonde color of your choice.
Simply go to the hairdresser -
This is the option to choose if you do have the right amount of money and don't really want to rush out and by new hair dye or remover. Your hairstylist could definitely cool down the tone of your hair and then re dye it all in one day. It'd be the one stop quick fix to your hair. They'll even conditioning it for you so it'll leave it soft, full, and exactly what you want if you tell them right. But of course, you're doing this probably for about 60 to 100 dollars, so you must be specific about what hair color you want and how badly you want your orange hair to be removed just right.
These three ideas are probably the only ones that could without doubt counter attack against your orange mane. And please keep in mind about your hair don't, stay away from warm blonde colors when your hair is dark!
