Where is God?

I ask you this, In society today where do you see God? Have you ever really looked around a store when you were shopping, I mean really looked, the kind of look that has some deep sense of wonder behind it? Food, clothing and possibly a few random items aside, what do you believe you actually need from a store? How many plastic totes will make everything alright? Are you storing up riches on earth? I have walked through a certain store, which I will not name because that is not the point, many times wondering how empty would this store be if people loved God and not themselves. I've often wondered why so many people turn to a doctor for anti-depressants when the joy they are seeking is found in a relationship with Christ. I'm not taking a shot at doctors either, God made intelligent people to help others who are less fortunate, and I believe that is one of the ministries of Christ. What I am saying is how many people jump to the conclusion that they have a chemical imbalance that can only be altered by a prescription drug. Why is it so hard to fathom that just maybe the imbalance is from chemicals produced by a lack of relationship with the almighty creator otherwise known as God? Did Jesus not heal? Did not God allow people to be born with defects so that he could be glorified by their healing? Is there anyone out there who still believes in the one who was sent?

I'm sure many of you have attended a church service of some sort in your life. Have you acted on it? When was the last time you helped someone, with anything? Think hard. If you're having trouble remembering when maybe it's been to long. I know that you have heard this all before but people are suffering even with things you would see as trivial. Is not the greatest command to love? Open a door for someone, put on a smile, compliment someone on their positive attributes. Be an encourager. These are not my own ideas I am simply passing them on. The world is not our home but God is still in it, guiding us with his holy spirit nurturing us with his word (BIBLE), and once in a while greeting us with a smile through a stranger. "you helped me when you helped the least of these" Gods word. God is here God is now God is forever.
