Poetry: Falling

by Jamerson Rising

Cold darkened night.

Climbing this cliff of cold uncaring fright.

Trying to find heavens delight.

Last of my family that can see.

Blinded by mediocrity.

World transformed.

Visions dreams taken away.

I climbed to the top devil standing in the way.

I let go falling hard falling fast.

Knowing this freedom won't last.

Was this climb insane?

Reaching for the stars.

Reaching for fame.

Or was it all in vain?

Devil standing in the way.

My minds insane.

Climbing looking for heavens delight.

Seeing people so full of fright.

Lost in this world of sight.

You have to close your eyes to open them wide.

Look inside for heavens delight.

Or keep climbing.

Devil standing at the top.

Ready to throw you down this bottomless drop.

Falling in the dark

Falling in the cold of night.

Falling freezing and dying of fright.

Close them eyes to see heavens delight.

You have to close them tight.

To see the light or falling.

This will be your plight.

In the cold darkness cast from the light.

To the laughter of the devils in the night.

The devils that keep laughing with delight.

So close your eyes and hold on tight.

And you shall see heavens delight.
