The anger and regret erupted inside
And I ran for a haven, just a safe place to hide
I reached for my headphones and then I pushed play
After that I let the melodies take me away
Journey told me Don't Stop Believing
And the knots in my stomach started unweaving
Celine Dion swore that My Heart Will Go On
And I realized the pain was just about gone
So I turned up the volume to hear Cher say
If I cant find love I'm gonna Run Away
As I listened my problems became a meaningless blur
Then Michael Jackson told me it's Human Nature
And as I played these songs from beginning to end
They gave my heart the glue it needed to mend
