My Boys And The Joy They Have Brought Me
I think at some time or other in our lives we can all tell the funny little stories of something that happened with our children and grandchildren. I hope you enjoy these small tidbits of mine.
Tyler and Tristan are my two grandsons. They were born of different marriages and so due to the divorces, they only see each other on weekends, now it seems only one weekend a month. They are twelve and ten this year. When they were smaller, it all started when they were around 3 and 5, as I can recall there were some very funny and some even more special moments with the two.
It was early one Saturday morning, they were visiting for the weekend and I was in the kitchen preparing breakfast. They were about 3 and 5 at the time. The boys were in the bathroom getting ready for the day. The bathroom was located right next to the kitchen so I could hear every word they said. As I was finishing up with the eggs I heard one say to the other, Mine will go father than yours.
And the other one, Unh Unh, mine will go father than yours, I was puzzled and wondering what they were talking about. As I neared the bathroom I could hear them shuffling around, then I saw what they were doing. Both of them were standing in front of the toilet with their cute little undies around their ankles, their hands behind their backs, they were not controlling their little private parts and the pee pee was flying all over the bathroom. It was flying full force on the walls, the floor, the ceiling, the sink, the tub, everywhere.
I yelled, Hey! we need to control those things, we don't let it fly like that around here. They jumped about four feet off the floor when I startled them and they popped to attention, with the member in hand. Needless to say, I had to scrub for several hours.
Around the ages of 5 and 7 they had found out that their voice would carry a great distance and yelling was the fun thing to do. One Friday after I had picked them up and we were on our way to Nonnies, that's me, they decided they would see who could yell the loudest. Well when you're inside a small car and there's not much room to move around, yelling is not the most pleasant of things to do.
So as we were approaching a four way stop, I decided I would get in on the game. I began to scream as loud as I could. The other people in the cars at the four way stop looked at us as if we had lost our minds. The boys stopped yelling and they looked at me like I was looney. They asked
