Are you willing to see the world,
with the eyes
that are not yours own?
Are you willing to smell the world,
with the nose
that is not yours own?
Are you willing to hear the voices,
with the ears
that are not yours own?
Are you willing to savor the food,
with the taste buds
that are not yours own?
Are you willing to feel the wind,
brushing through the bare skin
that is not yours own?
Are you willing to
Listen to the heart beats,
that is not yours own?
Are you willing to
Feel the ecstasy and pain,
the joy and sorrow,
that are not yours own?
If you are willing to,
congratulations,
you are not human,
you are beyond!

Poetry: Compassion
A Clump Of Clay
I'm nothing but a clump of clay,
I wait to be molded by God's hands.
My shape and gender is known only by
As he approached his local convenience store
He noticed a tattered man sitting by the door
Can you spare some change is what
Bittersweet Symphony
I really hated you when I first met you
I felt like you were lying to everyone around
Seeing you smile
Compassion beams outward to me - flowing
From your bosom there bestowing
Rivers of love from your piercing eyes
Of tender
For Haiti...
Spirit of compassion
may your gracious caring hands
touch the lives of those in need
upon our troubled lands
