Tips for preparing for a class

This topic can be divided in two parts :

1.'Tips for preparing for a class' - For the Teacher.

*Be sure that you know what you have to teach. Consult various references to be thoroughly well-versed in the topic you have to teach. Sometimes teaching from one source makes the teaching and learning a boring process.

*Take your notes with you for consultation even if you are prepared very well. Take care that your notes are entirely for you. Don't let others take your ideas of how you made them. This will keep your teaching method unique and special.

*Keep the students' levels in mind. Sometimes there is a big contrast in levels of understanding and learning. You have to take the average of both to teach in the best manner so that neither of them get bored.

*Be patient and keep calm. Treat the students tactfully and in an intelligent manner. Especially the naughty ones so that they like you even when you are strict with them.

* Always bring variations in your teaching to make it interesting. For variations you have to apply different methods of teaching ; not just one.

2. 'Tips for preparing for a class' - For the Students.

* Always revise your previous lectures. Revising your lectures will keep you updated and alert.

*Concentration is most important tip for the students to do well. Don't wander your mind in other things when you are studying in class or even at home.

* Try to be very active and alert to be in the good books of your teacher. An active and alert student is always liked by his taechers.

*Take enough rest before going to attend the class. A tired mind and body will never make you learn anything in the way you should.

* Always take and check your books, pens and the things needed for the lecture so that you don't face problem in between lecture. Don't disturb the class by borrowing or talking in between lectures. This will annoy your instructor.

* This last tip is for both the student and instructor - both the student and teacher should always try to be on good terms with each other to bring out a good quality education for the institution in particular and nation in general.

My intelligent readers will, I am sure, catch on to the tips I have given and make use of them in the best possible way along with the tips given in other related articles in MY HELIUM.
