Many tasks in life are easier if you make them fun. There are several ways to get a child who has attention deficit disorder to clean a room by themselves. Cleaning a room can be done easily if it is fun. I will give several ways that you can make room cleaning easy and fun for both you and your child.
The first way you can make cleaning a room fun, is to make it a game. You can use a stopwatch to have your child see how fast they can clean their room. If they are very interested in it, you can post their best times on the wall so they have a time to beat the next time they clean. Many kids who are competitive would like this way of cleaning their room because they have to compete with the most competitive person they know - themselves.
The second way you can get your child to clean his room is to take a picture. This is another game. When the room is clean and how you want it, you take a picture of the room. Hang it on the wall, or keep it in your room so they don't destroy it. When it is time to clean their room, give them the picture and see if they can make the room look just like the picture (or pictures). If they can do it, give them a prize or a little reward.
The third way to get a child to clean a room is to break down the big job into several small tasks. If you want, you can let a child watch television, and during the commercials go and clean their room for those two minutes. If you let them clean like this over an hour or so, you may be surprised at how much they get done. If this seems like a bad idea to you, there is still a similar option that may work.
The next possibility, I would recommend is again breaking down the job into smaller tasks, but differently. If you take the whole room, and "zone it out", that may make the job easier. If you break up the room into sections such as the dresser area, the closet area, and the bed area, they can clean up one area at a time. After each area is clean, they can take a break for five or ten minutes. Then they can go back and clean the next area.
Cleaning a room does not have to be a daunting task. It can be fun for your child, if you make it that way.
