Poetry: Hard times

by Jose Cruz

Created on: August 30, 2009

When life turns around and you

feel all the frowns,

When goodness seems distant and

life lacks its crown,

When the heart feels so heavy as it

often does do,

When you can't find that peace

that you often once knew,

Can life lack it's luster and still one

carry on?

Or live each day happy without

those who have gone?

For when life is peered through

with this blurry gaze,

One can't help but wonder the

meaning of this maze,

And then look towards the life you

hold deep inside,

Think of the wonder as you board

this new ride,

For the hope that is new moves

you forward with love,

This life you are about to meet was

sent from above,

We stick moving forward though

not sure where we'll be,

For in this hard world we can't

make others see,

The effort we put forth to keep life

in check,

The love that we spread out with

hope you'll be kept,

But fear not the future for you are

not alone,

All of us feel this and one day you'll

find home...
