Everybody moves into different stages from time to time, nobody can stay the same forever. Same goes to relationship. In my opinion, there are 5 stages in a relationship.

First stage: Honeymoon period
This is the best stage of all the relationships. You see no flaw in your partner, everything he/she does is the most wonderful thing in the world. A kiss, a hug, a move, a small gift, a dinner...... They melt your heart. You just want to be with your partner forever and you start to dream how will your future be. This stage will normally remain for a few months (approximately 3 months), of course, it depends on the couples.

Second stage: Flaws
The couple starts to realize they have been neglecting other important things in their life, e.g. family members, friends and career. Since the relationship is stable for now, you will concentrate more on other stuffs. At the same time, you will start to see flaws in your partner. "How could he be so messy?" "How could she be so unpredictable?" However, the after-effect of honeymoon period is there to take charge, you don't seem to be too bothered with the flaws, yet.

Third stage: Quarrel?
Yes, you start to have fights, for unimportant issues. You have had enough with the bad habits of your partner. But you stay in the relationship because you think you still love each other. Do you?

Forth stage: Is he the man? Is she the woman?
You will start to have such questions in your head buzzing you all the time. Should I stay with him/her for the rest of my life? Some really love each other and communicate well, they will end up living together for the rest of their life. Some do not.

Final stage: Your habits are my habits
If you remain as a couple, you'll start to take up each other's habits. Your anger to his/her bad habits has decreased because you have get used to it. In addition, you get used to having fights once in two days.

All in all, I believe there is love in every stage, everyday. Eternity is rare, but they exist.
