I did
I made you promises
I swore them true
I slipped, I failed and
I hurt you
I can't say sorry
I can't ask you to understand
I was there to see your pain
I saw the disaster firsthand
I love you, and
I will forever
I take responsibility
I am why we aren't together
I am a mess
I need you by my side
I felt every tear fall
I cried when you cried
I can't take it back
I can't make it right
I can only ask for a new chance
I need you, selfishly, in my life

I hurt you
I can't say sorry
I can't ask you to

dancing with
tension
never to meet my own
hazel
and similarly
whirling
