The Bush Administration in 2004, contracted a company named Blackwater to focus on terrorist activities in the mid-east. In doing so, President Bush used our tax dollars to fund this organization. What has transpired is $.40 cents of every tax dollar from 2004 on is being paid to this firm that is essentially a front for mercenaries.
There is no justification for which such wasteful spending by our government, when that enormous amount of our tax dollars are diverted to pay a private firm that employs mercenaries, undermines the United States Military and puts us deeper in debt.
There is still a valid misconception from the members of our Congress on the state of the United States. This country is in very serious trouble. With the economy still making the majority of the United States citizens facing uncertain futures, our infrastructure is collapsing, our water supplies are no longer adequate for the population, and we are so deep in pollution that we are ending up now destroying our oceans, the air we breath, and the ground where we plant our food supply; that if we fail to address and rectify these major issues, the whole planet is in jeopardy.
The President and our elected officials in Washington, have yet to produce one tangible living wage job after all the Billions of taxpayers funds that went into rescuing and bailing out the financial and auto industries, that brought this current economic crisis down upon all of us in the first place.
Compound to this economic catastrophe of almost the same magnitude as the Depression of the 1930's, this nation is faced with the most severe water crisis in our history, our food sources have been steadily being depleted of the basic nutrients that provide healthy sources of nutrition for consumption, and the ever increasing amounts of pollutants that are dispersed into the oceans, the atmosphere, and the ground have brought not only us but the rest of the world almost to the brink of a climate disaster.
All this and the continuing threat of an pandemic of epic proportions with the Swine Flu, the Bird Flu, Aids and the increasing rising rate of TB. This country needs a concise plan of direction, short and long term, to solve these most severe crisis before they really send the United States into an abyss that this country will not be able to climb out of.
The time for action is now! We must put aside our differences and realize that for the greater good, a National Economic and Environmental plan that is implemented
